Southern Westchester Munch *brought to you by SWACK*

The Southern Westchester Munch is open to all adults who are interested in meeting likeminded folks, socializing, and making friends.

Munch Info

Our Munch is currently located at The Metro Deli, Scarsdale, NY. The Metro can accommodate a sizeable group of people. Dress is "street casual" as this is a family restaurant.

The Munch is held on the first Thursday of the month at 6:45 PM and ends at 9:00 SHARP so our friends at the Metro can go home.

If you are a Fetlife user, you will find regular announcements about the Munch in our groups SWACK or the Southern Westchester Munch. There you will find links to the current month's Munch Event Page with all the details. CHECK THIS LINK MONTHLY TO CATCH ANY UPDATES OR CHANGES THAT MIGHT NOT BE LSTED HERE

What Actually Happens at the Munch?

The Southern Westchester Munch runs like many other munches. It is a social, non-play gathering of people in a vanilla setting. We order our own food from their regular menu, eat, mingle, laugh, share the stories we want to share, and go back to our regular lives after a couple of hours. We make our Munch safe, pressure free, and fun. We strongly discourage using our Munch for pickups or as an opportunity to solicit your favorite kinky play. What consenting friends do is their business. But if you are not known and attempt to use our members as your meat market, it will get you ejected. We also work very hard at being discrete. We watch each other's backs. We protect each other's privacy. And we are very careful about talking in detail about our special interests when we are in a public place.

Our Munch is what you make of it. If you come in friendly and willing to meet people, you will make friends. If you sit in a corner and expect something magical to happen for you, you are going to be disappointed. What you get out of a munch depends on how much you are willing to put in. One visit will rarely pay you any dividends. The Munch is not an instant gratification thing. It's the people that come regularly, get known, and build trust that may find hidden doors open for them.

We have some wonderful guidelines for new Munch-goers as well as those with more experience posted in our Fetlife group, Southern Westchester Munch. Social Activities

Kinky Krafts

SWACK has sponsored a variety of social activites including going to a fancy brunch, doing Kinky Krafts and making our own toybag treats, going apple picking in the Fall, and meeting up at the Captain Lawrence Brewery for a tour, free samples, and live music. Some SWACK events need to be prepaid/pre-registered. Other times we just meet up, pay our own way and enjoy the activity with our friends. Event info is publicized well in advance of the event on our Fetlife groups and on this website.

If you have a suggestion for a social event for our SWACK group, why not send the details in an email to Dale. Your input is always appreciated.

Kink Events

Southern Westchester has very limited (you can read that as virtually non-existent) venues for public kinky events to take place. SWACK has been able to improvise by associating with a venue in NYC. While this is great and makes it possible for us hold kink events, it also adds considerable cost and transportation considerations for anyone wishing to attend. So we sponsor a limited number of kink events, choosing quality over quantity.

SWACK's most recent kink event was a BDSM Sampler. There were 10 presenters, each prominent in their specialties, giving people mini-scenes with things like rope bondage, fire play, erotic knife play, thug play, caning, and more. The event was sold out and then some. It was a smashing success and had rave reviews.

It's our goal to bring our members the best possible programming without overlapping what is easily available at the many clubs in NYC. We are about fun and education. If we had a local space to use without fear of persecution, we could be holding a variety of other events like panel discussions on topics important to us and our relationships, educational seminars and demonstrations, and possibly even play events. We have access to the talent, equipment, and an interested membership. We simply do not have a space. If you happen to know of something that could help us, why not send an email to Dale. We could all benefit from the information.
